As part of an Industry interaction with academia, the Department of Architecture and Design organizes a product demonstration of Sympolo Tiles. This session is aimed to bridge the gap between industry practices and academic learning by providing students and faculty with firsthand exposure to the latest trends and materials in architectural design. The demonstration showcased a variety of tile collections, detailing their textures, finishes, and practical applications in both residential and commercial projects. Participants were introduced to technical specifications, installation techniques, and maintenance considerations, fostering a deeper understanding of real-world applications.

ENVIRONMENT AND ARCHITECTURE:ย Study Tour and Site visit- Aug 10, 2024
The selected students from each batch, along with faculty members, visited Amala Hills-The high altitude land in Amboori, Thiruvananthapuram, to studyย the potential of eco-friendly architecture in an environmentally fragile area. They have proposed sustainable design solutions based on their research.
The study was conducted as part of a project undertaken by the Design Consultancy Cell of the Architecture Department.

Renowned for its architectural grandeur, this cathedral boasts a rich history with origins and significance that span centuries. The students aim to capture its magnificent architectural features, along with the historical events and cultural heritage that define this iconic structure.
WEEKEND TOUR- July 13, 2024
This weekend, third Semester B.Arch students (S3) will be embarking on Architectural study tour to Padmanabhapuram Palace, Thackala. This excursion will provide an opportunity for the students to explore and learn about the intricate Kerala Architecture and historical significance of the palace.
ย ย ย The online photography contest is conducted to encourage creativity and artistic expression among the School Children through the medium of photography. We believe that a photography contest will not only showcase the talent and skills of the students but also foster a sense of community and appreciation for visual arts.ย
ย ย ย ย This Event is organized by the Bishop Jerome School of Architecture, Kollam as part of Architecture studio and Society integration program.

Speaker of the Day: Prof. Dr. N. Jothilakshmy, Principal of Saveetha College of Architecture and Design
Prof. Dr. N. Jothilakshmy is an ambitious researcher in the field of urban design, dedicated to fostering a research-oriented mindset among young architects. She holds a Masterโs degree in Town and Country Planning and a Ph.D. from SAP, Anna University, Chennai, where she focused on “Evaluation of Form-Based Codes and the Image of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.”
Dr. Jothilakshmy has presented and published over 50 papers at various national and international conferences, journals, and book chapters, including ten Scopus-indexed publications. With more than 30 years of experience in teaching, academics, research, and practice, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the field of architecture.
